VIDEO LESSON 1


 

 ONLINE TEACHING PRACTICE 2020

In this week I took classes 6th, 7th and 8th standard students. The class was started at the 10.00am for 6th and 7th standard students. For 8th standard students the classes were started on 9.00 am. I entered the class room before the 15 minutes. students were ready with that science textbook and notebook. I took the attendance of the class. The students were very active and attentive in the class. I enquired them about the follow up activities.  I asked some questions related to the previous knowledge and some thought provoking questions. In the classes I used various Teaching learning aids such as video, power point, pictures, model, original specimen, etc.  I used different teaching aids and gave various activities for the students such as complete the following table. The students were very interested in doing the activities and they completed all of it within the time. I conclude the lesson by summarising the main points or presenting the video. At the end of each class I asked review questions and gave a follow up activity. I could manage the class very well. My classes were observed by teachers form Christ nagar school and teacher educators of Christ nagar college of education. They gave supporting comments and pointed the corrections needed. The online teaching practice was ended on 4 the December 2020. It was a great experience for me. I could more explore the various technological methods and I believed that it would be a stepping stone to be a good techno pedagogue

 ONLINE TEACHING PRACTICE 2020

Teaching practice is a key component of the undergraduate teacher training program. It is during this period that the student teacher gets to translate the skills and theory learnt into reality through actual classroom teaching. Teaching practice is the vital component of teacher education and training because it provides student teachers with an opportunity to learn from experience in the workplace. Due to the Covid pandemic situation the teaching practice was conducted through the various online platforms. Kerala university suggested conducting the 10 days of teaching practice with students by online mode. Our college arranged different schools for us to teaching practice. I had been allotted to the Christ Nagar senior secondary school, Thiruvallam.

The online teaching practice was started on 23 November 2020 . I entered the classes with my G suit ID. The class were started at the 10.00am. I took classes for 6th and 7th standard students.in this week, from Monday to Friday I taught them one lesson for each day. In all classes the students were ready with that science textbook and notebook. Firstly I took the attendance of the class. The students were very active and attentive in the class.  I asked some questions related to the previous knowledge. I introduced the lessons in various ways such as by asking questions, showing images etc. I presented  videos about lessons, those were  very interesting for the students.  but I felt a little bit difficult in presenting the video in sometimes. I presented the main points in the PowerPoint presentation on every class.  I used different teaching aids and gave various activities for the students such as complete the following table. The students were very interested in doing the activities and they completed all of it within the time. I conclude the lesson by summarising the main points or playing videos. At the end of each class I asked review questions and gave a follow up activity for them. in the first day I was very tensed but after taking to classes I became confident. I could manage the class very well. but I want to improve my language efficiency and I should give more concern to the time management. In majority classes I could achieve the specified learning objectives.

Innovative work

Innovation technically means to introduce a new idea or to take an  exiting idea and make it work better. The practice with the new mindset or new way with value in it. In  education context, it is referred to the creative teaching by teacher. Innovation has a very important place in education. Innovation in Education encourages teachers and students to explore, research and use all the tools to uncover Something new. It involves a different way of looking at problems and solving them. The thinking process that goes into will help students develop their creativity and their problem solving skills. Innovation co education is about more than just technology. Is about how you can use technology to empower Student to become life long learners who all agent of change.

The internal Organs are organs of an animal that is placed inside the body beneath the skin. The stomach, heart, lungs. liver etc..
are internal organs protected by the layers of skin. Humans may look different but inside they share identical component parts. The internal organs differ in size, shape, location and function. A group of organs whose jobs are closely related are often referred to as an organ system. Through this whatsapp chat we can understand the information regarding thee role, function and importance of each internal organs.
 To make this innovative work, first I prepare a Conversation between the different internal organs. Its like a role play.Then I convert this Conversation into whatsapp chat with the help of Smart phones and the chatting apps. Someway its easy to done but there is a lots of  difficulty to coordinate all There Characters at the same time.

VITAMINS AND MINERALS (Role play)

Role play is any speaking activity when you either put yourself into somebody else's shoes, or when you stay in your own shoes but put yourself into an imaginary situation! Imaginary people - The joy of role-play is that students can 'become' anyone they like for a short time.
 Role play in science is a combination of the use of drama, games, and simulations. Since role play is based on play, it can help students to make science more relevant to their lives. Moreover, role play allows students to both express themselves in a scientific context and develop an understanding of difficult concepts. It also encourages creativity and imagination. Pretend play helps children naturally develop and use their cognitive abilities and skills. Through using their imagination regularly, they develop creativity and learn to think for themselves.
As part of B.Ed curriculum we prepare and presented a role based on vitamins and minerals.
